The Foreman or Lead will work in conjunction with the Director of Safety, as well as the Project Managers to execute projects in accordance with corporate policy and client agreement. The Foreman or Lead will supervise and perform construction duties on a daily basis ensuring quality construction for expedited deployment of services. The Foreman or Lead will supervise subcontractors and job site personnel to complete scope of work assigned.

Foreman ability to make $100-$130k yearly

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Climbing and working on communications structures
  • Installing, replacing, and repairing equipment located at height 
  • Travel with crew (company vehicle provided) to job locations. Out of state and overnight travel required
  • Ability to follow instructions 
  • We will teach you what you need to be successful 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Manage a team of 3-5 crew members
  • Willingness to take a hands-on approach and lead by example 
  • Climbing and working on various structures in heights that range from 50 to over 500 feet tall
  • Proficient and safe use of hand, power, pneumatic, and other tools
  • Ability to travel out of state and occasionally work over the weekend
  • Complete understanding of various testing methods. PIM, VSWR, OTDR, 3Z, ETC
  • Obtain or possess all required certifications. Including OSHA 30, NWSA TTT-1 or higher, Climber/Rescuer, Hoist operator, ETC
  • A Foreman or Lead is expected to communicate effectively with all crew members and Projects Managers
  • Areas of work include reading construction drawings, equipment mounting/installation, tower climbing, testing/troubleshooting completion of close out documents and other duties as assigned
  • Adheres to established regulations, standards and company policies and procedures and pays special attention to safety requirements and regulations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass drug test
  • Must pass Pre-employment physical
  • Must pass Authorized Climber/Rescuer, OSHA 10-Hour and CPR/First Aid trainings upon hire
  • Must be able to climb tall structures 50-500’+ and work at heights with 50 lbs. of gear
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Basic mechanical ability
  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools required
  • Construction background is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation and arrive on time consistently 

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years + experience in telecommunication industry
  • Prefer 2 years + experience in the Foreman or Lead role
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
  • Must pass drug test
  • Must pass DOT pre-employment physical
  • Must be able to climb and work at height. 50-500’ +
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Basic mechanical abilities with hand tools and simple power tools

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb several hundreds of feet with over 50lbs of gear
  • Work long days are not uncommon
  • Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of 50 pounds or more
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position that is +/- 500 feet
  • Frequently required to use hand and power tools

Travel Requirements:

  • 40-60% travel required in Midwest area.
  • Overnight required as needed.
  • Overtime, per diem, and paid drive time when traveling.
  • $150 per diem day when traveling is required.
  • Occasional weekend work (varies depending on department)
