We are seeking a candidate who is dependable, punctual and can work quickly with accuracy to join our growing business.
The Field Training Manager position is a salary position located in Shakopee, MN. The Training & Safety Manager will report to The Director of Safety and Development. The Field Training Manager works in conjunction with the Safety Manager and other applicable departments.
We are looking for a self-motivated, personable, highly organized individual that places an emphasis on employee growth to join our team. The Field Training Manager is responsible in part for all Training & Safety requirements for the Company to include training classes, submission of all applicable paperwork, auditing job sites, enforcing safety standards, ensuring completion of all safety reporting, participating in the development of training programs, mentorship programs, and working at heights.
- 4+ years of experience working at heights in the telecom industry
- Ability to travel overnight up to 75% of the time
- Availability to work 1 weekend per month
- 50 hours per week
- Ability to certify to a train the trainer level for required classes
- Maintain a valid driver license and acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of Industry Standards and regulations.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Duties and Responsibilities
- Employee development
- Schedule and participate in mentorship meetings
- Evaluate and submit a report on current employees
- Coach the employees in the field on the ground and on the tower
- Ability to certify and teach safety related classes including but not limited to Climber, Rescuer, Rigging, Capstan, Gin Pole, First, Aid/CPR/AED/BBP, MEWP
- Participate in employee goal setting meetings
- Ensure Employees understand all of the applicable apps that the company chooses to use
- Perform in the field safety related audits
- Creating all types of Safety Plans
- Organize and inventory safety related material
- Issue and Inspect safety related material
- Create weekly Safety Topics (PDF)
