The Electrical Estimator position will work under the direction of the Director of Operations and in conjunction with Project Managers, Construction Managers, as well as Field team members and other project support staff to execute projects in accordance with corporate policy.
WAGE: $100,000 DOQ
OVERVIEW:
One Way Wireless Construction Electrical division is a vital part of OWWC’s success. This division supports all customers and all project managers within OWWC. This role is responsible for obtaining work for the electrical crews, estimating the projects for award, setting up the awarded project for success by construction management and project support staff.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Sales and Customer relationships
- Find new electrical based customers outside of telecommunications work.
- Grow and maintain relationships with new and current customers.
- Ability to take initiative on innovative ideas with customers, while maintaining and growing relationships with vendors.
- Understand field crew and company strengths that pursue work that align accordingly.
- Strategic minded in how the workday and work week are planned.
- Provided weekly updates to Director of operations on customer news and market trends.
- Estimating and bidding
- Evaluates workflow for internal customers, determines capacity, and bids external customer projects accordingly.
- Adjust project estimates based on market conditions and company backlog.
- Input project bid information and budget information into company software.
- Work with internal telecom managers for electrical project estimates.
- Review project performance. Understand P&L reports, ability to transfer this information into adjusting estimates.
- Provide weekly report to Director of operations projects that are being bid on.
- Project Management
- Effectively pass awarded projects to construction management team for project completion.
- Flexibility and ability to step into management related role as business needs fluctuate.
- Provide information and utilize each department accordingly.
Required Candidate Qualifications-
- 2 years of successful electrical project bidding
- Professional communication-telephone, in person and software based.
- Strong collaborative skills. Teamwork mindset.
- 2 years of experience gaining and growing customer relationships.

Preferred Candidate will have one of the following:
- A degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
- One year of experience working as a journey-worker electrician
- Five years of experience in planning for, laying out, supervising, and installing wiring, apparatus or equipment for electric light, heat, and power.
- Master Electrician
- Bachelor’s degree in field associated with bidding and estimating construction work.
- Experience in infrastructure build-out industry. Like telecom.
- 5 years’ experience taking projects from new customers to successful project completion.
