what we’re about
OUR MISSION IS TO: Honor God in all we do, Help people develop, Pursue excellence, and grow profitably.
Here at One Way Wireless Construction (One Way), located in Shakopee, Minnesota, with a satellite office in Olathe, KS and various states we serve, we’re proud of our over four decade history serving countless customers across the Midwest and beyond.
Our story begins with our very own Gary Bormes – a proud Navy Veteran – who started One Way Wireless Construction (previously known as One Way Building Services) over four decades ago in 1977 on his strong business sense and dedication to doing things “One Way – the Right Way”. Doing business “The Right Way” is not just a motto, but a major part of One Way’s culture and is greatly credited with the Company’s longevity and substantial growth over the past 4 decades.
In 1996 during a conversation with a friend, Gary decided to learn more about this relatively new technology, eventually driving One Way down a highly specialized path of building and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure. Now, over 20 years since that conversation on the ball field, One Way is the business partner of choice to many major wireless carriers in the Midwest and beyond.
In 2019 Gary stepped down (although his hands are still in quite a bit of the day-to-day operations) and handed the reins to his son, Jeff Bormes, as President.
Thanks to the help of our great employees, One Way has become a premier provider of telecommunications infrastructure and electrical services in the Midwest region.
All of our departments collaboratively work together to ensure a smooth and successful process from the initial planning phase through project completion. We not only believe in true teamwork, we live it every day.
When working with One Way as a customer, we consider you an essential member of our team. We treat our business partners with the utmost respect and encourage strong communication between all parties. We believe in long-term, mutually beneficial business partnerships. We value personal connections and the benefits of in-person meetings and meaningful and productive discussions. This drive for strong communication and long-lasting relationships means success for both our customers and for our family here at One Way.
One Way’s work speaks for itself and our reputation in the Midwest is one we are very proud of. Our management style is simple but effective, direct without complication. We care deeply about our staff and work effortlessly to make sure they are trained and equipped to the highest standards, in the office and out on the field. Our admiration and support of our highly valuable employees transfers to our dedication to our customers. It’s who we are.

The station was also grateful to everyone for completed a full repair of the detune skirt in this case. They are working on adjusting the station now but it looks like the detune kit is installed and functional and the station engineer expressed his satisfaction. ’m writing up the final report for the site so you’ll see that from our coordination department soon. Thanks again and call me anytime if you have questions
